Message Hello it has been a while since i've been to this site. I will try to say the story as short as i can.

I have had the z for 3 years now. For the first 2 years i've made some modifications to the z for better hp you can see them in my profile then a problem showed up. The oil dipstick kept blowing and spitting oil all over the engine bay. Did a compression test and i had very low compression numbers on most cylinders.

I've decided to buy a jdm engine from canada so a good mechanic from this forum named Alain Nadeau i dont know his screen name but he has been a great help, compression tested the engine and it had very good compression numbers ~155 all cylinders. The engine was very clean, hoses were soft it had around 80k miles and no shaft play on the turbos everything was great.
So i bought 2 new motor mounts and new efi wiring harness and many other things and ended up paying around $8k for the engine to sit in the engine bay.
The engine ran smooth for the 1st day but there was no boost at all. Second day cruising boost kicked in and the car started boosting. I was so excited after waiting around 7 months to drive the car but unfortunately a knocking was heard in the engine that same day and i had a spun bearing. It is really frustrating and i am a student on a budget. I dont think i would be able to pay another $7k for another engine.

i dont have a clue on what to do with the car i really love this car and spent ALOT of time working on it and i am asking you guys if you were in my place what would you do? swap the engine ? rebuild ? however rebuilding would be very expensive considering i would be shipping all the parts from the US and shipping to Lebanon is $$$$$$$. So if you were at my place what would you do?

Thanks
